The Cat Lady was a minor character in the film Jeepers Creepers. She lived alone (except for her cats) undisturbed, until the night Trish and Darry Jenner pulled into her front yard. She grows crops outside her house with a scarecrow. She has many cats (and guns) and resents the police and Poho County's zoning laws, angry about them telling her how many cats she can have. Her many cats were first mentioned as part of Jezelle Gay Hartman's psychic vision of Darry's eventual fate before the Cat Lady's appearance being questioned if Darry seen them yet.
Personality[]
Not much is known about the Cat Lady, however, because she lives alone, she doesn't care much for strangers. But she is usually a calm person, she is also shown to be very protective of her cats even risking her life for them. Like cats, she is also very territorial because she did not seem very welcoming to visitors or strangers including Trish and Darry. She, however, at least has human decency because when Trish asks her for a phone, she showed great concern when she was told by Trish about the officer being killed. With that, she allows the Jenners to use her phone, but the Creeper showed up before they could.
Death[]
When Trish and Darry ask for a phone to call the police, the Creeper waits in front of her scarecrow and her cats start yowling.
"That's not my scarecrow..."
~Cat Lady
She grabs a shotgun and yells at him to get out and then shoots, but he jumps out of the way. Running into her house, he begins destroying the inside of it (as breaking glass and other objects are heard). Think the cats are in danger, she runs inside to save them. Shooting sounds are heard in the house and the Jenners could only see the Cat Lady standing at her door. As they moved closer, she is found being walked up and held through her spine by the Creeper. She gets tossed as the Creeper pursues the Jenners.
Trivia[]
- In a deleted scene, after killing her the Creeper actually speaks in a Southern accent "She don't smell too good...Darius!". The Creeper, however, was ultimately decided to never have a speaking role throughout the franchise.
- Despite being a minor character, her cats were part of Jezelle's prophecy of the Creeper's pursuit of the Jenners.
