Mac is a major character in the film Jeepers Creepers 2. He is the farm dog of the Taggart Family by his owners Jack Taggart Sr., Jack "Jacky" Taggart Jr., and Billy Taggart.
Jeepers Creepers 2[]
Mac was a farm dog who loves the Taggart family. On the 22nd day, three days after the events of the first film, Mac started begins barking frantically in the direction of this "scarecrow", where Billy was working stringing them up on the cornfield. Jacky initially thought Mac was yelling at Billy and jokingly told Mac to bite him. As Mac keeps on barking in the cornfield, however, Jacky starts to get annoyed and tells him to shut up. However, the scarecrow Mac was barking about was the Creeper in disguise, who leaps to chase after Billy. Jacky and Jack Sr. make chase with a shotgun to rescue Billy with Mac following his owners. Unfortunately, the Creeper flew away with Billy, shocking the Taggarts. Mac could be heard whining and sad that Billy is gone.
On the 23rd day, Mac spotted something in the cornfield, and Jacky came to check it out. Turns out the Creeper left behind an ancient knife, which Jack formulated a plan to get his revenge on the Creeper, creating a homemade harpoon. With his barking alarm to get his owners and other people's attention, Mac tags along with Jack Sr and Jack Jr to rescue the remaining students of the Bannon Bantams and kill the Creeper once and for all.
Mac can also be seen in Minxie Hayes's second dream where he is seen moving backwards and playing with Billy.
Trivia[]
- Despite not being dead, Mac is seen in Minxie's dream with deceased victims of the Creeper, playing with Billy.
- It is implied he had a very close relationship with Billy as he was saddened by Billy's abduction and is even seen in Minxie's dream, playing with him.
- It is unlikely at the end of the second film, he was the dog sitting next to the elderly Jack Sr. 23 years later as it is unlikely, as a dog, he could live that long.
